Children's Choir singing at Knox

The Knox Children’s Choir offers children and youth of grades 1-6 opportunities to present a diverse variety of worship music at the Sunday morning 9:15 a.m. Fresh Spirit service and the 11:00 a.m. Traditional Service.

Knox Children's Choir

The Knox Children's Choir offers the opportunity for school age children in grades 1 through 6 (with Kindergarten starting on a trial basis in January 2016) to sing in the choir. Our main focus is singing to prepare music for Sunday worship. We sing approximately once a month in either the Fresh Spirit or the Traditional service. We also present a Christmas pageant and participate in special services such as Youth Sunday. In addition to vocal development, singers explore rhythms using hand percussion often incorporating the Orff-Schulwerk method of instruction. The Knox Children's Choir rehearses on Sunday mornings conveniently between the two worship services from 10:15 AM to 10:55 AM upstairs in room 302. There's a place in the choir for your child to raise their voice in song! For information on your children joining the choirs, contact Tara Drummond.
