So deeply do we care for you that we are determined to share with you not only the gospel of God but
also our own selves, because you have become very dear to us. – 1 Thessalonians 2:8
At Knox church, caring for one another is a spiritual practice, a participation in our calling as followers of Christ in the ministry of healing and wholeness, and an expression of the life and love of God. We care for each other through listening, comforting, praying, feeding, and helping.
PASTORAL CARE
Our pastoral care staff offers one-on-direct care and community care through:
- Calls and visits to offer comfort, support, and prayer for those going through a difficult time.
- Rituals such as Weddings, Funerals, Sacraments (Baptism and Lord’s Supper), and Services for
Wholeness and Healing. - Education through classes, sermons, and groups, that help us grapple with tough issues such as racial
justice, climate change, sexuality, aging, death, grief, and caregiving.
