Due to the coronavirus breakout, Knox is unable to house homeless families in our building. Instead, we are making additional financial contributions to IHN to allow that organization to continue to provide housing for these families in local hotels. Knox Church and Knox members also have provided food, clothing, household supplies and toys for these families. Many Knox members also have provided Kroger gift cards for use by the IHN client families. As IHN continues to reevaluate where families are housed, we will work with them to identify ways that Knox can continue to provide both emergency financial support and donations to meet their needs.
If you would like more information on IHN at Knox, please contact Betsy Warwick at bwarwick3@juno.com . She will be happy to answer your questions, help you sign up for a service opportunity, or add your email to the Knox list in Sign Up Genius.
OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP HOMELESS FAMILIES
NEW LIFE FURNITURE BANK is happy to accept gently used furniture that will then be made available to homeless families who have found housing. The New Life Furniture Bank website will give further details on specific items accepted, as well as condition requirements. You may also call 513-313-0530 to get further information, and/or to arrange for a pick up. They do request a $25.00 donation fee to help with the fuel expenses.
